New TV Stands Delivery!

31st January

So with the new year well under way we thought it only fair to introduce some new stands to the JTV range. The team trawled the web and supplier catalogues to find some appropriate products for our customers. Once we found the best of the best we got on the blower and placed some orders.

Today we came in to work, fired up the forklift, unloaded the deliveries from the wagons and admired the new stands!

JTV

With a mixture of Gecko, Off the Wall and Jual products there is plenty to choose from. We will have them up on the website later today once we've checked them over, so come back soon to see them for yourselves!

Happy Tuesday from JTV!

So long Christmas, Hello 2012

19th January

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM EVERYONE HERE AT JTV! The team had a fabulous Christmas break although we were struggling with all the orders we received. The couriers had a meltdown nationwide, Santa wrote to us to complain about the number of stands he had to make and we had to endure the worst rain and wind we had ever seen. But after all that we sat down, opened presents and seriously over ate. BOOM!

Christmas

So since we came back and recovered from Christmas we have enjoyed the coverage from CES 2012 in Las Vegas. Of course we sent our very own representative to introduce JTV to the world stage, and who better for the job than our very own.....Leslie Chow from the order dispatch department.

Leslie Chow

I cannot imagine anything better to mount your brand new LG 55" OLED (largest in the world) TV to than one of our fantastic Origin S4 TV stands. Don't just take our word for it, ask LG.

We won't leave it as long until our next update as we eagerly await the arrival of the 2012 Six Nations Tournament. Top tip for the betting community out there, England to win!

Enjoy your weekend guys.

Summer has come to an end

5th October

After a final week of brilliant UK sunshine, the JTV team are wrapping up for the cold months ahead. The team are all rested up after enjoying sun drenched destinations around the globe. Laura enjoyed a fabulous day out in Mexico, Joe went to France to eat raw garlic and drink wine and Ollie enjoyed a trip to Skipton. James is the final member to return after an action packed week in Turkey where he tried swimming for the first time. He said it was an enjoyable experience and everyone should try it, but the arm-bands do chafe a bit.

JTV North Pole Mock Up

So back to the Winter clothes and snow, but on a plus note our TV screens will once again be graced with excellent shows such as Top Gear, Blue Bloods, Strike Back and Spooks. Also we can look forward to the biggest video game launch since Golden Eye on N64 all those years ago. Yes I am talking about the amazing and mind boggling Battlefield 3.

A perfect time I think you'll agree, to get your A/V furniture sorted for that PS3 and home cinema system that is currently sitting in a heap on the floor with wires everywhere. Here come Off The Wall to the rescue with their fantastic, modern S4 stands and excellent NO MORE WIRES technology to manage all those unwieldy cables. One last issue to cover in this issue of JTV News is the disappointing arrival of the new iPhone. The iPhone 4S has arrived but unfortunately there is no sign of an iPhone 5 yet. I guess the JTV team will just have to go to the new Nokia Windows phone with NFC technology when it's released instead. Shame on you Apple!

A Huge Week At JTV!

7th September

After 3 years of waiting the Digital Switchover has finally arrived here for us at JTV! Old analogue BBC 2 has been switched off this morning and shall no longer grace our flat screens with such shows as Top Gear and Mock the Week. We instead will have to make do with digital terrestrial TV, a greater selection of channels and amazing HD viewing. It's a hard life.

In other news we only have 2 more days before the Rugby World Cup starts and the JTV team are tipped to do well this year as they currently hold the top spot in the world rankings.

JTV World Cup Team 2011

With the Web Ellis Cup up for grabs, the Digital Switchover finally arriving and Off The Wall announcing their fantastic new range of TV Stands we thought it only fair to celebrate with a fantastic discount voucher. Just enter the offer code '10OFF' at the checkout and you will be rewarded with £10.00 off any order! So what are you waiting for? Check it out now!!!

Gecko

8th June

With the new finishes for 2011 hitting JTV shelves last week the new Gecko stands are flying out. Impressed at their popularity Charlie, James and Matt are struggling to keep up with demand. With the initial product launch price been lowered in celebration of these new products JTV customers literally bit our fingers off, however, all good things must come to an end. We put the prices back up the RRP of £249.99, which in our opinion is a great price for a stand which offers so many features. These features range from smooth opening doors, infra-red friendly glass, cable management and many more. These features are across the entire range, whether it be a reflect 1100 or the Impro. So what are you waiting for, get browsing the Gecko TV stands range here at JTV for the best deals and service. Click here to go to the Gecko range.

Obama crazy

25th May

Whilst the whole of London is under lock down due to the state visit of Obama, equally important things are happening at JTV towers. Amid discussions of forgien policy in the Middle East and methods to calm socio-economic unrest during these tough times the JTV team has been meeting regulary to discuss not only their policies on the above issues but that of driving sales. The aforementioned problems are near to being solved but in the mean time Mathew has lead a strong policy of cutting prices across the range. In conjunction we are still offering our free next working day delivery and a free HDMI cable. So what are you waiting for?

Boys are back in town!

20th May

The old boys are back at the helm; Charlie and James are back in force. After a spell away secconded to various other projects, management felt it was time to roll out some old pro's. Wading in after some time away Charlie got stuck straight away into driving sales. It's safe to say that he hasn't lost it. With TV stand facts and stats ever ready on the tip of his tongue, Charlie has answered questions quickly and effectively reassuring customers that we have the right stand for them.

James has been steadily tackling the email questions and the site maintence with subtle ease. Between the two of them all bases have been covered. So with new Alphason stock and a warehouse full of Origin S4's, Geckos and Jual stands amongst others we definately have the stands for you.

Royal Wedding Fever

27th April

Well the big Royal Wedding is nearly upon us and the excitement at JTV is certainly growing. JTV towers has been swamped with union jack bunting and a Wills & Kate mug has been spotted around the office, as of yet nobody has claimed ownership of the quite frankly hideous mug. What is certain is that Royal Wedding fever has hit the globe, with a global television audience estimated at over a billion, a quality viewing experience is essential and this is where JTV come in.

You have probably already purchased your brand new TV to watch the event and what better than a top quality TV stand to go with it. Check out our great range of Origin, Alphason and many more stylish stands online, we are sure there will be a TV stand to suit you. Hey we may even be able to do a special one-off Wills & Kate TV stand if this takes anyones fancy! Lets hope it is a day to remember for everyone, so get your brilliant TV stand from JTV and watch the proceedings in style.

Changing Rooms

16th March

Sometimes things can a have a little too much character. Like Lugi, Charlies green machine, who has seen some serious abuse. The JTV floor came under the same catagory. Although a lovely wide planked wooden floor, it really had seen better days. The chairs had marked round patches on the floor revealing the naked wood. Cometh' the hour, cometh' the man; well in this instance, men!

Charlie and James were charged with patching the worst parts of the floor. All went well and after a couple of hours, the men at work surveyed their good work and saw it was good. In the morning, it soon occured to them, that not always going with the grain appeared to have been a mistake. In some areas too much varnish had been applied, however, unconcerned the lads prepared themselves for the next evenings activities by purchasing some better equipment.

Called away on urgent business, Charlie was out of the game. Dom stepped into the fray, manning a roller and pole Dom cracked on with James. Not before Ashley had fired up the buffer to clean the floor (see picture). Once Ashley had finished the buffing, Dom and James got their varnish on. After many hours and coats the floor was done! Looking smarter than ever, the JTV staffers arrived the next morning, looking gob-smacked at the quality of the workmanship.

Easter Bunnies and Royal Weddings

10th March

Not only is it a good time of year for children with all the chocolate but for workers too, coming up in the next couple of months, holidays galore! Its' not that we aren't excited by the marriage of Prince William and Kate; but the lovely little break is a nice bonus; so congratulations to the pair and thanks! Traditionally the easter break provides JTV with a surge in sales and if forecasts are correct the Royal Wedding will increase those sales. This is all looking great for JTV, extra sales, a longer bank holiday and some sweet spring weather thrown in.

One thing you can be sure of is that JTV will supply you with the best stands possible, from the exceptional Value Range right through to Gecko, Off the Wall, Alphason and the new Norstone range. All these stands are still delivered next day, for free (see delivery information for further details) and with a free HDMI cable. If that is not enough, we now have a premium HDMI cable, for just £16.99 this little number will enhance your picture and has an in-built ethernet cable to allow internet use.

'Suits so fine they made Sinatra look like a hobo'

8th March

JTV rarely has to look smart, but the time has finally come round for Charlie to smarten himself up. Realising he had to sort himself out, a trip to a local suit retailer was made. After minutes, and I mean minutes of trying on a suit, Charlie made his selection. Changing in the office, Charlie looked sharp, but he was soon brought down to earth when Dominic noticed he was still wearing his pumps. Charlie was quickly ordered to get home to get the old leathers on, to bring his feet in line with the rest of his body.

Apart from the above excitement, JTV has received some 'bang tidy' new stands direct from Lawtons we have added to the Techlink range with the B6B. Additionally the a new line to us from Norstone, new stands include the Esse and the Cinema. In line with usual Lawton stands they are of superb quality and at a price which might just surprise you. In conjunction we now stock a catagory 1 HDMI cable, coming in at 2 metres with gold plated connectors and capable of handling outputs to a 1080p screen, this little beaut won't disappoint. Retailing at a modest £16.99, this cable is a steal.

Globetrotter

1st March

Stand aside Ford, Coke Cola and Microsoft; JTV is now the big dog when it comes to international business. We are not actually joking either, JTV is on its way to becoming a MNC. Well, ok, we are exaggerating a little bit. What has really happened is that we have set up our international shipping account with City Link.  This has allowed us to ship stands left right and centre, starting in the Republic of Ireland then scooting an Alphason to Belgium and an Origin S4 to Spain. We have shipped to other European destinations recently but what has amazed us the most is how quickly they arrived and in top quality condition. Hats off to City Link for all their efforts, we are mightly impressed here at JTV towers.

Delivery to northern Europe is £50 going up to £60 for East and Southern Europe and for the Republic of Ireland, delivery is £20. In fact for Ireland on a number occasions, we have even managed next day delivery; so gone are those long waits for deliveries!

Death of TV stands?

10th February

Here at JTV a little package arrived on the 9th, JTV staffers wouldn't be wrong for thinking that this package had spelled the death of TV stands. What was in the little box I hear you cry? Inside, there was a pair of 3D glasses with video screens in them. In the excitement the packaging soon went, and the little babies were fired up. It became apparent that as soon as Charlie had them on his chubby chase that they looked ridiculous, a cross between Stevie Wonder and Judge Dread. The picture quality was fair but nothing to rave about and in conjunction with the striking looks (not always a good thing) the entire office decided that the 'specs' would be relegated to that of useless gadget. It looks like there is some future for Alphason and Off The Wall for the time being!

Stocked up

8th February

Here at JustTVstands, we spend literally hours and hours looking into products; from amazing new Alphason stands to the ever increasing JTV value range. What often ponders us here at JTV is what sells and what doesn't. Some stands that we have high hopes for never quite make it or either prove to be a slow burner. Such as Charlie's Soul's, having seeked approval and duly made the order; the Souls cruised onto the JTV site. After over a year of being in stock, there is one solitary Soul remaining. Lets be honest, it's a good looking stand and has oodles of room for all those must have A/V accessories so why hasn't it flown out of the warehouse?

On the other hand, the Alphason Iconn ST870 appeared mid last week and since has dissppeared from our warehouse! At £229.99 it is £70 more expensive than the Soul and carries less equipment. This point is made once again with the Origin S4 (our best selling stand), coming in at £283.99 and as standard, can only carry 2 peices of equipment, the numbers don't quite stack up.

Yet both Alphason stands and Off the Wall stands (makers of the Origin S4) are made right here in blighty. This means that the stand is stocked by more people; therefore brand awareness is much higher on the two British brands. This could explain the dominance of Alphason and Off the Wall.

The beauty of Alphason and Origin being based in the U.K is that their customer support is second to none. We highly recommend any stand by either Alphason or Off the Wall, however, we would also suggest looking at many of the other brands which we stock here at JTV. Our current suppliers are:

  • Alphason
  • Off the Wall (Origin)
  • Techlink
  • Ateca
  • Gecko
  • Premier Mounts
  • Mobuler
  • Jual
  • Underneath the Mango tree
  • Vogel

Whilst we do love the Alphason's and Off the Wall stands, all the other stands and stockists are hand picked to meet our high expectations, even the JTV Value range is designed to surprise customers with the quality and design features from a lower priced stand. If you ever need any advice please get in touch via email; sales@justtvstands.co.uk or call 0113 3202 220.

JTV timeline

1st February

JTV is well known around the world, as a first class provider of television stands and brackets. So we've decided to charter JTV's asendancy against the backdrop of world events. As you can see JTV has gone from strength to strength.

Here is a chart so you can see what we've been doing:

N.B: Please note that this is all a ridiculous joke and we don't even partially take ourselves this seriously

Customer reviews

26th January

Being small and mobile gives JTV many advantages over other larger businesses, we can offer a reactive service which can be personal as well as automated.

We have personally delivered stands to customers in the past, called round to build up S4's and GT8 Centurions and had stands brought up to the office for pick up by customers, who always seem to have very small cars, resulting in squeezing in a stand in just that bit harder. And if you are brave enough to call us, then you will be lucky enough to speak to Matt, Charlie, Sally and James who between them keep tabs on all JTV happenings.

The result of all this effort is that here at JTV towers we receive some top class reviews which can be read in our customer testimonials and on the products reviews on each product page. We are very proud of these reviews, non of them are doctored in any way, these are the customers own words. The below is just a typical review, we receive here at JTV:

'10/10 for outstanding service and a great looking stand. From speaking to James who had a very helpful, friendly and yet relaxed manner and engaged with and answered my concerns, through to receiving the stand the very next day as promised. With Amazon, I would have had to pay £17 more, it is impersonal and I would have had to wait longer for delivery. The stand itself looks superb - it is a good mix of black and clear. I didn't want something all black as it looks too dense but I wanted to pick up the colour of the TV. This is perfect and a great design and quality. I am usually wary when reading glowing reviews but here I am giving one. I hope you go from strength to strength.'

A new year!

6th January 2011!!!

Happy new year from all at JTV towers. Since the festive break there has been many changes here at JTV. For a start, the VAT has gone up by 2.5%, however, we have frozen our Origin and Off the Wall prices in order to help save JTV customers as much money as possible! In the spirit of things we are offering £5 off any stand, by simply entering 'jansale2011' into the voucher code box your basket the discount is applied to your final total. By using this code, the little extra tax imposed on consumers is actually negated, so take that George Osborne! If that wasn't enough we have lowered the price drastically on 5 stands which we feel just aren't appreciated but are cracking stands. These can all be viewed on our home page, in addition our value range has increased with 3 extra stands hand picked once again by our man on the ground Miko Vertanen. So all is not dull and dark this January!!!

Post-party Report

17th December

Well it has happened, the JTV party of the year. The Christmas 'do' went down as well as all the beer and spirits that were provided! The party was held at what can only be described as giant tepee's joined together. Warming fires were dotted around the 'tents' ensuring the wintery chill did not spread through the party. With plenty of beer to wash down some excellent food, the JTV party dance off ensued swiftly. Putting in some impressive moves on the dance floor, the party quickly was escorted into Leeds city centre to rip up some tiles. With late returns all round JTV towers has been extremely quiet today with very little in the way of fast movement!

JTV Christmas Party

16th December

In the tradition of JTV it is time to down tools and head for a bar or any bar! The Origin S4, Skyline 1000 and every other stand in our range won't look after themselves so JTV is happy to welcome back Chris 'the jackhammer' Greenop for a stint of cover. Whilst the usual JTV suspects catch up on some post party rest. Chris has won the coveted JTV employee of the month for successfully wrangling the Alphason range and getting them organised on JTV; so it is safe to say Chris is more than qualified. As usual the post party report will follow, detailing all exploits in the name of fun. First the party must begin, it is safe to say all at JTV towers are on count down...

Employee of the Month

15th December

This month's top employee has been a tough one with many contenders. Charlie has held the fort well, with a strong effort on screen cleaners, whilst Sally has used her P.R skills to spread the word of the delivery disruption due to the bad weather we suffered in early December. Our last employee of the month; Andrea has since declined to star in any of the JTV roles, which whilst extremely prestigious are hard work. As a note the infamous Chris 'the jackhammer' Greenop is making a Christmas come back. This is much to the delight of the 'Businesses Mans lunch alliance' who meet most days to create experiences such as a world food week. A recent member A.Hughes, has taken to the alliance like a fish to water and seems set to make his mark on the alliance.

Back to the employee of the month, after shifting oodles of Origin S4's and large amounts of Alphasons, as well as everything in between James has been organising our Ad-words and tackling the spends on JTV. With plenty of success in optimizing our spend running various test in-between keeping up the JTV level of customer service, it is time that James won this sought after award.

James and Charlie let loose on the Christmas decorations...

5th December

The run up to Christmas is a lot of fun at JTV towers with lots of stands coming and going, there is plenty of work to be done. However, there is still time for some grade A clowning around. The festive period officially kicked off on the 1st of December but James and Charlie were far too busy sending out stands to organise a Christmas tree, as time freed up a Christmas tree was acquired. Arriving in style poking out of Charlie's sunroof, the tree was promptly erected and decorated. However, after a short lived euphoria coming from the satisfaction of what became known as the 'man tree'; Dom returned and wasn't impressed with Charlie and James's attempt. Running down to Homebase Dom returned with 'more tasteful' decorations. So please compare and let us know which tree you think is better, the tree on the right is James and Charlie's effort.

Snow update from JTV central

30th November

Wellies and Land Rovers are the order of the day, even with all this equipment it was still a struggle to get in today. With snow levels ranging from anything from 3" to a foot in places, many roads were completely white over. The cold has taken a hold so much so that Charlie has taken to wearing a 'Snood', usually reserved for older members of society not the twenty-something JTV veteran. Leaving work yesterday Charlie and James had skid off in the car park using cars to chew up some snow. Whilsts all these shenanigans were fun, the hard graft of sending out stands still went on, so far so good,, JTV has managed to deliver all the ordered stands on time but in this weather we are keeping a close eye on deliveries to make sure everyone is kept up to date with the progression of their orders.

Snow Joke

29th November

It's that time of year again! JTV towers has been hit by a serious amount of snow; the white stuff has clogged roads, shut down airports and with held bacon sandwich deliveries. However, JTV's super efficiency has continued and no amount of snow will stop play here! After a busy and fun filled weekend on the sledges resulting in sore bums; it became obvious that the weather didn't suspend JTV customers enthusiasm. Our stands flew (metaphorically, otherwise they may have been damaged!) out of the warehouse making their way through snow and ice on the road to their expectant new homes.

JTV hits up Youtube.com

25th November

The time has come wonder of moving pictures has come to JTV, with a tour around Off the Wall and further videos on specific Off the Wall products are expected to follow in the coming days. In the long run it is hoped further in-depth product videos can be created and embedded onto JTV's product pages showing everybody the full glory of these magnificent stands in HD video. Yet for the time being we are focusing on product over-views with the aim of giving everybody the best idea of what to expect once they have these stands built up.

HDMI Crazy!

23rd November

The JTV exclusive continues into its 6th month, we are still giving away HDMI cables with every stand sold, these are high specification 1.5metre cables; which retail in most shops for around £30 but here at JTV we have them for a mere £20, yet buy a stand and its yours! The HDMI cable is the only way to get great Hi-Def content from your Playstation 3, Blu-Ray or SKY HD box finishing off your A/V set up. Here at JTV we want you to have the best stand on top of your fantastic new television but this entire set up would be useless without the humble HDMI cable!

Photo shoot

18th November

As all committed JTV news readers will know, we love a good story about pretty much anything. This week we have received new stock; such as the JTV value range, Jual curved wood stands, new Alphasons, more Origins (especially the S4) and a sprinkling of Skyline 1000's and 750's.

However, one story that eclipses all the above excitement is our new campaign to show our customers our staffers. So from left to right, JTV is proud to introduce some of our committed team which actually agreed to be photographed for the site. Charlie our in-house soul man, Sally, Jess, James (boy band pose present and correct) and Dom taking command of some important TV stand related queries.

You will notice that on the site some pictures were selected for use and others were not! Sally and Jess are now the faces of our sales and deliveries hotlines whilst Charlie, James and Dom's images got promptly popped into the recycle bin. We can't all be stars but whilst some are still soaking up the glamour of the photo-shoot some are on with the hard work of getting the TV stands out to our loyal customers. So in the count down the Christmas look forward to speaking to our staff, we just can't garantee that you will get the more attractive members of the team as unfortunately James, Charlie and Dom may sometimes be called away on other JTV related business.

Guest JTV staffer wins prestigious award

10th November

Here at JTV, we are not a huge team but what we achieve is grade A service with first class products. Normally the admin side is taken care of by James and Charlie with Chris and Matt in the warehouse picking and packing everything from the Origin S4 to your free HDMI cables. However there can be moments when James and Charlie are called away or are simply on their holidays. This happened on the 9th of November, with both Charlie and James absent it left Andrea in charge of the JTV hotline. Although a complete rookie to the S4 or the Ateca Bordeaux she successfully soldiered on liasing with customers and Matt and Chris. In recognition of Andreas JTV efforts we have awarded her the first bi-monthly JTV Temporary employee. As a note to regular JTV news readers Chris 'the jackhammer' Greenop does not qualify for this award as he came to fill in for 3 days and stayed for 3 months and upset a lot of people with his 'boy chat'! Rumours around JTV towers are that Sally of 'Chimpanzee that, monkey news fame' (see below) is tipped to win the coverted accolade in the coming months.

The Soul

25th October

At JTV we have some stands which seem to barley touch down in the warehouse before they are whisked out by Matt and Chris, such as the Alphasons range, the Origin S4 and the Vogel wall brackets. However there are some stands which we do seem to hang on to. One of those been the Ateca Soul which Charlie thought would be the next big thing. Yet the 'Soul' hasn't followed suit like the other Ateca products such as the Monaco 120 or the Bordeaux. It only had its first sale the a couple of weeks ago, but for the life of us we can't work out why it's not eloping out of the warehouse. It supports huge TV's, has oodles of space for all your A/V equipment and a cable management system, additionally  to boot it was part of our 'Mega Sale' back in August.

These slow sales have caused Charlie much ridicule in the JTV office, but the tide is turning so it seems. The 'Soul' is gaining momentum so will Charlie have the last laugh? Probably not as we won't let him but its a favourite of ours and now priced at £119.99 we reckon in to be a great bargain! You can find it at http://www.justtvstands.co.uk/categories/ateca-tv-stands/products/ateca-soul-tv-stand

Vogel O'clock

13th October

The time has cometh, JTV has finally become live and kicking with Vogel wall brackets. For those of you who are unaware the Vogel wall mounting systems are top banana, they have a huge market share and no-one comes close in terms of build quality, design and style. We have started with the 8000 series which we feel and have heard are the cream of the crop. However as we become more used to the Vogels we expect to expand the range to include as many different mounting systems in order to cater for as many needs as possible when it comes to mounting wall brackets and TVs!

Countdown with Jude!

7th October

Jude, pictured twice here, flew the JTV flag on national television yesterday and her efforts we nothing less than superb! Everyone agreed that Jude was robbed by a David Brent look-a-like who in all fairness came out with all guns blazing, not literally as that would have been a bit messy on national television! However, after his initial surge Jude fought back with some exceptionally strong rounds beating 'Brent' on several occasions. Unfortunately for Jude, her competitor was on a roll from previous shows and was a tough opponent, whilst normally Judes score of 75 would have seen off strong opponents the early 9 letter word that 'Brent' pulled out the bag gave him a solid grounding for the rest of the game. Yet hats off to Jude, as many off the JTV staffers played along whilst watching Jude with some calling out words such as 'flea', 'cat' and 'ate.'

Whats the big fuss about?

5th October

3DTV; that was the question Channel 5's Gadget Show set to answering last night at 8pm. Beyond sticking your 3DTV on a shiny new S4 or Alphason Finewood 1100, why are you so fussed about the Gadget Show I hear you cry! Well, here at JTV towers we recieved a phone call concerning the 3DTV feature back in August. They asked if we could supply them with some stands, specifically the Off The Wall Skyline 1000. We duly obilged excited about seeing one of our favourite stands on the small screen. Personally taking the stands down built up in the van, Chris ensured they arrived safe and sound looking in top condition.

Whilst not all the presenters were convinced about 3DTV, they concluded that the best course of action would be to buy a 3D ready TV so you always had the option. Obviously here at JTV we weren't going to solely take their word for it! With a crash and a bang we hoped into the JTV-mobile and speeded to our nearest electrical shop. We spent a good hour viewing everything from football to Monsters Inc. in 3D and came away thinking...that's pretty cool! Although we can't work out whether the ability to view 3D is currently worth it;  3D televisions are still incredibly expensive coupled with a lack of content (although Sky are just about to launch their 3D subscription service) and the fact that the 3D glasses are carrying a price tag of around £100 each! We feel it is a technology of the near future and like HD the the decrease in price will gradually make it more and more accessible. Both stands are suitable for any flat panel TV design so what are you waiting for, finish off your A/V set up with a slick stylish stand!

221 miles, 1 car, 4 trains, one man, one forgotten passport and just 4 hours to deliver

28th September

It started like any other day at JTV checking orders, making cups of strong coffee, ordering some Origin S4's and cracking some jokes. Whilst all seemed calm Ashley took a call that was to change one JTV staffer's entire day in ways he could never imagine. The mission put before James was to get a forgotten passport down from Leeds to Heathrow airport by 3:30pm at the absolute latest. The first challenge was to get him to Leeds station in time to catch the 12.05 to Kings Cross station. At this point it was 11:20 and time was ticking, Jess and Andrea were dispatched ahead to the station to buy a ticket whilst James and Ashley waited for the passport to arrive at the office. As soon as it arrived a scramble ensued to the car to get into Leeds (11:30), hitting the station at 11:55 James picked up his tickets from Andrea on his way to the platform. Now on the train it was the time to work out the rest of the route to get to Heathrow.

The train arrived at Kings Cross at 2:15, 5 minutes early; James moved his way through the crowd to get to the tube, heading for Paddington station. Being only the second time on the tube James was unsure of his exact route and had to quickly study a map, taking a slightly educated guess which route to take he made it onto the right train, making it to Paddington by 2:45. A slow 12 minute wait for the Heathrow express was incurred, which by the time the train set off had reduced the time to 2:58pm leaving only a 30 minute window to deliver said passport. James knew he had a change at the first stop which would further eat into his ever elapsing time, after switching trains and enduring a short wait he pulled into terminal 4 at 3:25. Running up the platform and beating the morass of people heading for the lifts James got himself going up to the terminal well before anyone else, now was the time to find the passport's owner. Running down the line of Check-in desks he eventually came across the right person! Handing it over he checked his watch to see it read 3:27pm, breathing a sigh of relief James phoned Ashley to inform him of the success of Operation Passport! His next job was to navigate his way home but this time no running was involved returning home by 11pm, although it was a long rushed day James said it was great they made it!

Whatta man, whatta man, whatta man, what a mighty good man

20th September

JTV staffers love to look good, and go to extreme lengths to ensure that they always look their best. However, time can often be constricted by TV stand related commitments such as handling the weighty Mobuler or polishing the Skyline 1000. In times of urgency extreme lengths must be taken. This time it was related to Charlie's and James's hair do's. Both 'lids' had become rather over grown like a neglected garden in an abandoned house. Some had begun to speculate what was existing in the morass of hair, James and Charlie began to fear the inevitable: a lunch time hair cut at one of Yeadon's finest. Their usual haunt of 'Tribe' appeared to be closed resulting in a slump in moral, upon Bex's recommendation Charlie piped up about 'Big Als.' Not knowing any better the duo embarked on the walk down the high street. Stepping through the thresh hold Charlie elected to go first. Only mentioning that he wanted a bit off the top, the barber duly trimmed the aforementioned area. Finishing up Charlie swapped the hot seat with James who went into more detail concerning aspects of the cut. Satisfied at his cut James left the establishment and walked back up the hill with Charlie only noticing the new do Charlie was sporting once Charlie turned side on to him. A small 'rats' tail was prominent at the rear of Charlie's head with curls poking round the side of his ears. After much deliberation and laughs back in the office something had to be done.

With the office 'cutters' in the car park it became time to deal with the rats tail and the curls, James being a complete virgin to the art of hairdressing began to bail out the stricken Charlie with some smooth cuts and some snips, some say he came a little close to his ears but not blood was drawn. Although not looking at his best Charlie appears happy(ish) with his adjusted haircut. An artist has rendered an impression of his hair before the alteration. Please see above.

Pope Blocks JTV Efficiency

16th September

Here at JTV towers we pride ourselves on our effective service and particularly our next day delivery service. Now from time to time things conspire against us;snow, incorrect delivery addresses and even the odd accident has stopped our stands reaching our customers. However today we had a first. We had a call from a customer Dave H. Dave informed us his Origin S2 stand hadn't arrived, following this up with our delivery company they casually mentioned to us the delivery driver couldn't reach the address due to the Pope's state visit which was starting in Edinburgh today.

It may sound far fetched, however, we were then challenged with calling up Dave and explaining that his stand couldn't be delivered due to the Pope! Dave took the news well, although we could see why he was gutted that his stand wasn't arriving on time as the S2 is a great piece of kit! It just goes to show, no matter how hard we try somethings simply just get in our way of supplying the U.K with the best TV stands.

Mobuler

8th September

Although here at JTV we love all our stands, are becoming especially fond of our new exclusive stands at JTV. The great new Mobüler stands have been sourced by our own man on the ground, Chris. Chris has trawlled round Europe to bring us some of the most exciting stands out there, and he hasn't failed! Starting with five stands the range has dramtically increased into a multitude of colours, finishes and designs. Coupling this with Gecko products (which we cant seem to keep enough in stock) and the NEW Edge Contour stands we are revved up to hit the winter season with some fantastic new stands guaranteed to perfectly finish off you A/V set up.

V-fest!

24th August

A team of hardcore party animals from JTV made the trip down to V-Festival over the weekend. Chris the Jackhammer Greenop, Karen, Charlie, Jess, Laura and Andrea went down to see some great acts and hear some breaks and sick beats. Sleeping in tents, cars and bars it was rumoured that the JTV staff were never off the job and spread the good word of TV stands. So much so that JTV sold an Ateca Soul TV stand which has recently been reduced in our summer sale along with other Ateca stands.

The Calm after the storm

16th August

As promised the post party report is here. It's safe to say the beer keg was well polished off, a huge effort from Matt, Sam, Corey, Pardeep, Rich, Ashley and Neil so big applause there. The rain kindly held off after James and Chris set up the gazebo in the pouring rain resulting in a trip home each to dry off and smarten up.

The rest of the office turned up on time as the weather cleared up and cracked on with the canapes and the liquid refreshment. The initial activity of welly wanging kicked off quickly with the catering staff nearly taken out early in the proceedings. With Dom coming close to setting the record of knocking Chris out of a tree on his second throw.

Dave's mega-mix of music proved popular, so popular that after a brilliant meal and some more liquid refreshment 'disco' Dave and Chris 'the jackhammer' Greenop started to bust some heavy moves on the dance floor. Many were shocked at the level of skill untill Sally (of recent Monkey news fame) casually strolled into the center of the dance floor and rocked out so hard that only Jane could compete. Chris and Dave immediately knew they had been beaten by worthy opponents. Whilst this went on at one end of the room Charlie, Ashley, James and Chris (inbetween dance moves) decided to have a downing contest to assert their masculinity. Needless to say Chris dominate swifty followed by Charlie, Ashley then James.

The night continued with a heavy flow of drinking and dancing, in an office esq dance circle led by Rich and Ashley. In a nut shell, what a night, the above is merely a taster of the summer BBQ. A massive thanks must go to Jane and Ashley for kindly organising and hosting the event as everyone had a brilliant night/morning especially when everyone got to hear Steve's selection of breaks and beats

Party Boi!

12th August

It's that time of year again, the JTV summer party. Jane, Ashley, Sally and Chris have pulled out all the stops to throw the summer party, the weather gods have been appeased and all hopes are for good weather so the BBQ can go ahead. DJ Dave C is bring out the big tunes to ensure everyone has a good time. The post party report will follow early next week once the hang-overs have worn off!

Sugar and Spice and all things nice

26th July

JTV staff have gone baking crazy over the weekend, not soley on a whim but all for a good cause, MS Therapy. JTV food afficandios James, Chris and Charlie not only tried the cakes but also baked some of their own. Well charlie had some help some Mrs Tesco but apart from that he unboxed it all by himself and even stuck a candel in it. At the moment there is no clear winner, counts are under while, however, some are still to vote so it could sometime before we have  a clear winner unless we end up with a coalition...

OOOO chimpanzee that, monkey news!

23rd July

Just an example of the laughs we have around here at JTV towers; Monkey of 'The Office' and 'PG Tips' fame has graced us with his presence. Following Sally's new project with some affilation to monkeys and her regular cry of 'MONKEY' through the office every time it was mentioned, it became obvious that it was high time Monkey came in to do his thing. With all the excitement of the last week with the new site going live, the customer special offers email, Gecko products on the site and the fantastic Mobuler stands making their debut in the U.K; Monkey couldn't handle it and simple went bananas and parked himself on the mounted speaker near the ceiling. Staff hopes are that he will come down soon but with a wild animal you can never be too sure. Rumours are animal wrangler Bex is preping the broom handle to poke him down with.

Clean up your act!!!

20th July

JTV loves making things just that bit better, whether its the service we provide when your buying your new stand or the 125yr old sign outside our offices we like to do our bit! The same goes for the environment as well, we noticed on the grass verge outside the office that there was rather a lot of litter and we thought we should do something about it! With that in mind Karen, Charlie, Ashley, Jess and Andrea donned the old rubber gloves and braved the rain. They managed to fill 5 bags with rubbish so top effort guys, Charlie even found himself some, new bed linen although it may need a bit of a wash!

Clean up

I say hello, you say goodbye

15th July

Like many aging stars JTV has gone under the knife and had a facelift! With new features such as a product finder and a recently viewed items bar on the homepage; JTV is now even easier to use and search out some cracking products. This long awaited re-vamp has taken a lot of time and effort. A big thanks must go to Matt, Ryan, Chris and James for all their hard work on doing the behind the scenes work to make a great site even better. Charlie has worked hard to change the ring-tone on the JTV mobile which took him roughly .45 seconds, he has been well commended for his pains. Although he has spent time updating Facebook and Twitter, in the hope that you guys will all become fans and follow us. Just search JustTvStands on both sites and you won't go far wrong!

Old Skool

7th July

In an age of digitalism some people are still holding on to ways of an older world. On 22nd June we recieved a type written letter asking for details on TV stands. After a quick call we narrowed it down to the Origin S4 and sent some information and pictures to the customer. Two days later another type written letter arrived requesting a S4 silver with a cheque. JTV promptly sent out an S4 on a prearranged delivery date and followed up with a call the make sure everything was all present and correct. On the 3rd of July JTV recieved another type written letter commending our service, we were so proud of it we just had to share it with you

Heavy Metal

5th July

JTV staff have various methods of transport, ranging from Charlie's 'reliable' Golf, Chris's eco-bike and James's less than eco-LandRover. However these rides were eclipsed this morning when JTV found an APC (as Ashley correctly pointed out), which stands for armoured personnel carrier parked outside the office. Yet there seemed an issue, as the 15.3 tons appeared to be a little heavy for the truck as a concrete manhole just behind it was well and truely crushed.

Birdman!!!

1st July

Whilst on a break from painting, Chris the 'jack hammer' was violently and brutally attacked as what can only be described as a small bird. After squealing and running away from what turned out to be a young black bird chick. Charlie and Sam wrangled the beast into submission whilst Chris watched on. We took a picture to show the creature as Charlie managed to contain it vicious nature!

Keeping up appearances update

25th June

Chris the Jack Hammer has out done himself and has finished the majority of work so we thought we'd update the picture to show the good work carried out!

Keeping up appearances

22nd JuneMen at Work

Being based in an old mill JTV takes some up keep; so today JTV decided to clean up its act under the command and direction our very own bob the builder; Ashley with his trusted sidekick 'Chris the jack hammer.' The old iron girder is undergoing restoration to bring it back to its former splendour. Job number one (as pictured) is chipping out the concrete  which will be replaced with soil and flowers, the girder will then be painted black with the letters once again picked out in gold paint. The majority of the work is expected to be completed by 'Chris the Jackhammer' although questions are being asked concerning his ability to create over demolish. Watch this space to see how the project goes and whether 'Chris the jack hammer' becomes Chris master of arts!

Food for thought

Charlies dinner

Here at JTV we are big believers in work, rest and play. Being social animals we enjoy nothing more than sitting around having a chat as we recharge with our nutrious meals. Charlie, being our in-house Jamie Oliver created a meal that would awe inspire the most ravenous creature. For your viewing pleasure we have uploaded a picture of Charlies epic lunch. In respect of his acheivement we have awarded it the first annual 'JTV lunch of the year award for excellence in the field of gastronomay'

For those unlikley few that are interested the recipie is as follows:

1 x beef and onion pie

1 x chicken and mushroom pie

1 x pack of micro chips

1 x sachet of instant curry sauce

Heat the pies in a microwave for two minutes, once finished heat the micro chips thoroughly. Whilst this is cooking; add hot water to the instant curry sauce. Pop the pies and chips into a fruit bowl and cover with curry sauce. Eat immediately for full satisfaction.

JTV Staff put through their paces

14th May

Confusion1

To prove that we can do it too, James and Chris set up two of the Ateca stands; the Classic Noir and the Soul. Things ran smoothly until the boys realised that they had attached the wrong glass panel on to the wrong shelf. Perhaps next time boys read the instructions more carefully. However after much screwing and unscrewing the stands were complete and the boys looked happy with their achievement. Passing the stands on to the studio to be photographed.

Soccer Summer Bonanza

13th May

In little over a month, the greatest soccer competition kicks off in South Africa, with the worlds greatest players coming together to create a spectacle seen only every four years. Many will make the long trip down but out of the expected 60 million followers only the lucky few will park themselves in a seat over looking the green field itself. However, the rest of us will have to settle for parking ourselves on the sofa watching the games in stunning high definition. Never has the quality and the technology of television been so advanced allowing television spectators to catch every goal, every offside and every dodgy referring decision. Even when a visit to the beer fridge is required after 35 minutes and 27 seconds into England's opening game.

On the run up to the 2006 competition TV sales were estimated to be at £1 billion and 2010 is expected to follow suit. No matter how you look at it, that's a lot of T.V's and T.V's need stands. At JustTvStands we know T.V stands so where better to finish your new entertainment system off than JustTvStands.co.uk.

Here at JTV we are constantly trying to test ourselves and this was fully put to the test when a giant flat packed Ikea chest of drawers arrived at JTV towers with a deadline of only a few hours to get it built! Our TV stand flat packing expertise were called into the fray and eventually the boys triumphed with a great new chest of drawers for the bosses office!
